Arizona State University Western OTI Center

The Western OSHA Education Center (WOEC) established through a cooperative agreement with the US Department of Labor is one of the most recent OTI Education Centers to be established. The Education Center founded at Arizona State University is the only authorized Education Center in Arizona, providing Arizona workers and employers a local resource for safety and health training. The cooperative agreement seeks to leverage the knowledge and expertise housed within ASU to provide continuing education and professional development opportunities to working professionals.

The Education Center offers the OSHA numbered courses which include the standards and technical courses, and oversees the Outreach Training and Train-the-trainer program. Courses are available for construction, general industry, manufacturing, and healthcare. WOEC has the ability to host contract courses at employer sites across OSHA jurisdiction or to bring your team to the Arizona State University Campus. Currently we are holding most of our courses on the Tempe campus of Arizona State University in the newly constructed College Avenue Commons building. Holding courses on campus near our academic track courses includes our attendees in the energy and excitement that is present on the University campus.

WOEC has experienced instructors who provide high quality, OSHA numbered courses for the private and public sectors. The Education Center has developed certificate programs that provide a progressive path for individuals to gain foundational knowledge specific to the applicable industry. The certificate programs are focused in construction, healthcare, general industry, and occupational safety. Whether you are a seasoned safety professional, someone who has just had safety or risk management duties added to their job responsibilities, or someone who is interested in entering the field of occupational safety and health or risk management; we have a class for you.

The Western OSHA Education Center is continuing to grow and is constantly increasing the course offerings and expanding the locations where courses are offered. A full course listing and registration can be found at osha.asu.edu.
